Darkness is the difficulty
How much of a door is black maps to one of five difficulty tiers. The darker the door, the more stats you gain inside — and the stronger the enemy behind it. Orange doors are the wildcard: they reset your Luck to zero.
Core mechanics
The door-choice system
A door's black ratio equals its difficulty, in five tiers. Darker doors grant more stats. Choosing is itself the resource management.
Three-stat counter triangle
Strength, Agility and Magic counter each other, encoded twice — by symbol and by colour — so it reads at a glance.
Three rounds decide it
Battles last only three rounds. Enemies reveal their move, and may change it — so always keep one option in reserve.
Two modes
One Life: a loss ends the run. Comeback: a loss deducts your highest stat, and the deduction grows each time.
Boss battles
A boss triggers every 10 choices, acting as a periodic pressure check.
Orange doors and Luck
Luck is the average difficulty of your last 20 choices, and can be cultivated deliberately. An orange door resets it to zero.
